Overview

NQVMS is a desktop VMS that connects to several servers through the NQNVR REST API and live/playback stream services. Drag cameras from the resource tree onto the grid to build and save layouts, and scrub the timeline in playback mode to review recordings. Uptime, temperature and storage of every server are monitored in real time, and camera-offline or recording-stopped conditions raise notifications. It also acts as the manager for NQWall video-wall agents and NQPCAgent remote PCs, discovering and registering them alongside cameras. All local settings live in a single local file, so no server is needed.

Multi-server live view

Show cameras from several NVRs in one grid. Place them by double-click or drag, save and recall layouts, and mix in local image or video files as tiles.

PTZ control

Pan/tilt, zoom, focus, preset go/save and tours from the PTZ dock.

Playback and bookmarks

Pick a date, scrub the recorded segments on the timeline and bookmark important moments.

E-Map

Place camera pins on a floor plan image; click a pin to pop up its video.

Server health

Uptime, CPU temperature, storage usage and channel count per server, refreshed continuously.

Notifications

Camera-offline, recording-stopped and other events go to the notification center and log.

Video wall and remote PC management

Auto-discovers NQWall agents and NQPCAgents, shows remote PC desktops as tiles like cameras, and pushes video-wall configurations.

Local accounts and lockout

Admin and standard accounts with login lockout after repeated failures.
