Overview

NQAutoBackup runs stand-alone on any Windows PC without a database. A worker per NVR keeps going: mirror mode periodically compares the NVR's recording index with local storage and fetches only the missing segments; daily mode pulls the previous day at a set time; outage mode fetches only the segments missed during a connection loss. Progress is judged from the presence of per-minute index files, so recovery resumes after a restart or crash. Newer NVR firmware gets file-copy-speed downloads, older firmware falls back to RTSP automatically. Backups are encrypted with AES-256-GCM in the same format as NVR backups, so NQBackupViewer plays them as they are.
